Agrivoltaics first

Researching how solar infrastructure and agriculture can work as one system.

Solar Research and AgroVoltaic Institute is planned as REGird's dedicated agro-PV research arm—connecting crop conditions, water, microclimate and energy performance with practical system design.

02

Computational agro-PV design

Spatial algorithms, virtual environments and 3D models that evaluate layouts, crop access, shading, land use and energy performance before deployment.

03

Open agrivoltaic knowledge

Datasets, analytical methods, research findings and software tools intended to support transparent learning across energy engineering and agriculture.

Applied solar studies that turn site questions into measurable evidence.

REGird brings experimental design, performance analysis and digital modelling to solar projects. This consultancy work directly informs the institute's agrivoltaic research agenda.

Solar applications under development

Applied concepts spanning solar operations, mobile cooling and the built environment.

01

Rooftop solar digital twin

A platform concept for supporting operations and maintenance of rooftop PV systems.

02

Solar-powered portable cold storage

A portable cooling application designed for ice-cream trucks and mobile cold-chain needs.

03

Building-integrated photovoltaics

A BIPV system concept designed around the energy load of a mixed-use complex.

Past projects

REGird's foundation in clean-energy problem solving.

Completed feasibility and deployment work across solar PV and electric mobility provides the practical base for Solar RAVI's agrivoltaic programme.

Ayana Renewable Power

REGird completed a field experiment to evaluate how reflector width and position influence solar-string performance under site conditions.

01Selected a suitable test location near a three-phase LT panel.
02Instrumented six PV strings with remote performance monitoring.
03Tested six reflector variants across width and position.
04Analysed generation curves, energy gain and longer-term trends.

About REGird

Applied research shaped by deployment experience.

REGird Private Limited began in July 2021 to evaluate opportunities in clean energy. Its founding team brings experience from solar PV, mobility platforms and software-as-a-service ventures.

REGird has collaborated with a team at the National Centre for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE), IIT Bombay, for applied research. Solar Research and AgroVoltaic Institute extends this direction with a focused platform for agrivoltaic enquiry.
